My favorite breakfast, morning snack, and afternoon snack are
breakfast is 3 eggs, 1 morning star veggie burger and cheddar/montery jack cheese with bits of jalepeno made into an omlette with 1 slice of whole grain toast and 1/2 tbsp of Smart Balance with Flax Oil. My morning snack is also my favorite a Triple chocolate or Deep Dark Chocolate VitaTop muffin top. It is so hard to believe these ymmy things are only 100 calories and loaded with fiber and protein. I buy them online by the case from my Hungry Girl emails when they have free shipping. The also have an apple berry and corn bread (which is good with butter or peanut butter) but the chocolate ones are my favorite warm from the microwave with a cup of coffee. My afternoon snack which I have about 1.5 hours before I go to the gym is a half cup of low fat plain yogurt with a quarter cup of Bod’s Red Mill Old Country Style Muesli. I’ve found I can do a good cardio workout when I have this..I’ve tried other things when out of either of these but the workouts just didn’t seem as good.
I’m gradually cutting seconds off of my 2 mile walk/jog time (Saturday had it down to 32 minutes 18 seconds) and Saturday I actually ran at a 4.0 for longer than 1 minute which is a big thing for me since I don’t go faster than a 3.8 (1o minutes was the longest I’ve done this for so far). I jog for as long as I can, walk till I catch my breath and do it all over again until I eventually have to do a fast walk cuz the legs won’t run any more. Yesterday was supposed to be a 2 mile walk/jog but I have cut on my ankle that was being bothered by my sneaker rubbing even with a band aid on so it was a 20 minute walk on the treadmill and a very good and hard 20 minuted intervals on the Arc Trainer.
I talked to the manager of the gym we go to yesterday to have him find which trainer could come up with a workout program for my honey to increase his skating speed and power for hockey so he can show the youngens at hockey. I know what he needs to do but will he listen to me…no..so Wednesday him, Jeremy (the manager) and Sean (the trainer) are going to sit down and hopefully devise a routine to increase his lower body strength for power and speed. Jeremy wants me to talk to Meg to have her look at a circuit I got out of Fitness Magazine but I’m going to try my own way for a month or two and see what happens, if nothing then I will go over something with one of the trainers. I’m just to freakin’ independent that it sometimes drives my honey nuts.
Okay, thanks for reading my blabber (not good at this blogging stuff as my daughter is) and I need to get some work done before my gets in from dialysis.
Have a great week everyone.

A joke I got in my this morning..thought it was funny..
An old man lived alone in Idaho. He wanted to spade his potato garden, but it was very hard work. His only son, Bubba, who used to help him, was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and described his predicament.
Dear Bubba:
I am feeling pretty bad because it looks like I won’t be able to plant my potato garden this year. I’m just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. If you were here, all my troubles would be over. I know you would dig the plot for me.
Love, Dad
A few days later, he received a letter from his son.
Dear Dad:
For heaven’s sake, Dad, don’t dig up that garden. That’s where I buried the BODIES.
Love, Bubba
At 4 a.m. the next morning, FBI agents and local Police showed up and dug up the entire area without finding any bodies. They apologized to the old man and left.
That same day, the old man received another letter from his son.
Dear Dad:
Go ahead and plant the potatoes now. It’s the best I could do under the circumstances.
Love, Bubba
FOR ANYONE WHO IS A BOSS…
The nicest guy and attorney anyone would ever want to work for had a nice sentimental card waiting in his chair when he got in from dialysis this morning. I’ve been working for him for almost 20 yrs now and he’s been there for me through every crisis I had raising my daughter on my own and drove almost an hour to my father’s wake last year just to show his condolences. My boss, JOHN J. LAVIN, nicest boss in whole wide world.
Did a half hour spin class and worked my arms in the process
Did my weights on Tuesday so my arms were a little sore Wednesday like normal. I do a half hour of spin yesterday and for that first half hour we were standing alot, going from straight up to third position, to sitting and back up and then in third position get the hips back. Boy of boy can I feel it in my legs as well as my arms…especially the forearms from holding myself up and moving back and forth from sitting, standing, etc.
Now today is supposed to be weights so I think I will work my unworked triceps and maybe abs.
